Both experts and fans of original Czech jewellery became aware of Janja Prokić after her Superpowers collection. It combined beautiful jewellery with the role of the animal symbolism of different cultures in shamanic and occult rites in a very ingenious, witty and surprising way. As a long-standing goal, Prokić focuses on femininity, nature and their organic interconnection. Her jewellery usually combines gold with gems and semi-precious stones. At the Czech Grand Design Awards this year, she was nominated for her Hidden Place collection, where women enter into the world of three of her favourite fairytales – The Little Mermaid, The Wizard of Oz and Alice in Wonderland.
