From the beginning, Praguekabinet gallery has focused on exceptional objects and artefacts designed by Czech and international designers. In terms of leading Czech artists, the gallery has represented renowned artist and designer František Vízner and Venini, a company that specialises in glass design. Last year, the gallery decided to expand its portfolio with a new section Made in Prague – special editions designed by leading Czech designers. Made exclusively for the gallery, all collections are designed and signed by selected designers and labelled with the praguekabinet logo (limited editions are numbered, of course). The portfolio includes Torpedo, a collection of upgraded easy-wheels and custom-designed cases by Anna and Jerry Koza, a brand new set of beautiful vases by Milan Pekař, the witty and poetic Love is and Prague is porcelain sets designed by Sylvie Luběnová (a.k.a. maestrokatastrof) and Planety, a collection of unique hand-blown glass objects by Dechem studio. Showcasing originality, uniqueness, quality and the city of Prague as its "place of birth", this project – which features 100% Czech designer products - demonstrates that praguekabinet are not afraid to rest on their laurels by expanding their portfolio in a very interesting and spirited way.
