The studio led by Michal Froněk and Jan Němeček recently celebrated its 25th anniversary. Over the past two decades, these two designers have probably had the biggest impact on the post-revolution Czech design scene. They are nominated for the Czech Grand Design Award for their Tim collection, which consists of oversized suspension lights made from blown glass and bell glass covers – designed for Bomma. Designed for Mikov, their luxury Pocket pocket knife also impressed the Academy of Czech Design of the Czech Republic. Its simple design is indicative of Olgoj Chorchoj's approach the handle with its chequered pattern imbues the knife with an industrial look, a secure grasp and pleasant haptics. Its quality was confirmed when it won the Best Product Award at Designblok.
