They have been designing together since almost two years ago, and although natives of the same South-Moravian town, they only met during their studies at the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague. Their portfolio literally abounds in realizations. The most recent one the GONG collection of lights – does not respond to either demand nor a particular client; it is simply objects which the authors themselves first and foremost like and which simultaneously bring something in addition.

Here, the duo of designers fused indispensable practical elements and emotional experience. "It is purely accidental that the lights have a relaxing effect. But chance is an important part of creative process," the authors say.

The GONG collection combines a simple geometrical shape and a subtle construction of bent metal tubes. A flat circular light revolves around its central axis, thus allowing users to adjust the direction of light wherever needed. Eduard and Matěj technologically mastered the fastening, and the shape can thus freely move around in the full range of 360 degrees. The LED panels, covered with special diffusion Perspex, then spread light evenly. The rear part of the lights looks like a large gong or a clockpiece and plays the role of a passive cooler. The lights are designed in both standing and suspension variants in three different types. People love to decorate their homes with things and objects that reconnect them with Nature. GONG is a soft and soothing full moon as if its observers are bathing in moonlight.
