illustrations for the book Už nikdy pěšky po Arménii a Gruzii (Ladislav Zibura, Bizbooks) and for Reportér magazine, series of their original posters
The four-handed illustrator called Tomski & Polanski was born in 2013 out of Ilona Polanská and Lukáš Tomek. At present, they form a unique duo of illustrators with long-term shared experience and tradition. They are mainly active in the field of digital illustration, but in their free work they do not avoid painting on large-dimensional canvases, annually presented at the LUSTR festival of illustration. Their style oscillates between stylized play with planar forms and characteristic figures on the one hand and, on the other hand, elaborate digital painting. They are nominated for the Czech Grand Design award for this year's maelstrom of authorial posters, in which they pursue the subjects of cycling, famous figures from Bohemian and Czech history and iconic movies. And also for their illustrations for Ladislav Zibura's book, Never Again through Armenia and Georgia, the visual content of which, comprised of more than fifty illustrations, make it an exceptional artistic exploit in literature for adults. And, moreover, for their illustrations for the Reportér magazine, in which the jury especially appreciates their playfulness and stylization.
