Tradition, craftsmanship, high quality, modern design as well as love of Nature – this is how we can briefly describe the concept pursued by the Javorina brand, which has long been presenting itself with wooden furniture and interior accessories of massive oak and walnut. It is not only the pleasant optical, but especially haptic qualities which play rather fundamental role in all this year's Javorina collections, designed - among others - by the Czech duo, Roman Vrtiška and Vladimír Žák. It is exactly their Hrib collection, which earned the company its current nomination for the Producer of the Year. No less than two sizes of these conference tables of parabolic silhouette, due to which they received its exceptionally soft, refined and original look, have made it to the production. Yet another Academy's reason behind the nomination was the Desk escritoire by the designer and, simultaneously, one of the owners of the brand, Leo Čellár. Here, too, the most decisive features are massive wood and well-elaborated design: the curved end of the tabletop creates a small barrier in order to evoke the feeling of safety and privacy. The aspect of sustainable production was important for nominating Javorina as well: it exclusively uses FSC certified wood, extracted in the recoverable or, more precisely, continuously recovered Slovak forests.
