The creative group of Okolo – Adam and Jakub Štěch, plus graphic designers Matěj Činčera and Jan Klos can be rightly called a group of design activists. These young and restless people manage a homonymous blog, publish the Okolo and Pedal Project magazines and organize exhibitions. Their common content is visuality and the distinctive form of individual Okolo products corresponds with this fact. The Lights Sculptures exhibition in a box was created as a travelling version of the homonymous exhibition of Czechoslovak lamps from the 1950s to the 1980s which Okolo organized in the past year. The box containing special prints of illustrations of the lamps was first presented at the 1st year of Santorini Biennale of Arts. "Okolo continuously expands the conceivable limits of design, as far as time, geography, and themes as concerned – from food to commercial objects, fashion, interior, and sports. They hedonistically enjoy both design and life in the global world of communication technologies and features titbits on their blog with the passion of discoverers and the excellence of taste testers," says Iva Knobloch.
