"I would say that the main goal for us is to create a simple yet inviting island for interaction, people with people and objects with people." Lucie Koldová and Dan Yeffet

The Paris-based duo of designers Lucie Koldová and Dan Yeffet do not allow space to be too restrictive. Four diametrically different manufacturers with diverse requirements and four totally different projects, but yet with a very powerful unified expression. After graduating from the AAAD in Prague, Lucie Koldová – winner of the 2009 Discovery of the Year at the Czech Grand Design Awards – received an internship at the Arik Levy studio in Paris where she mat Dan Yeffet. Apart from projects for Levy, they started to design their own first solo projects, including the first lights for the new Czech brand Brokis. Their mutual collaboration later resulted not only in a range of awards and nominations but also in their recognition in stores all over the world. The Shadows lights are an homage to the lights of the past; the Versa is a conceptual play with the archetype of the lamp; the Urban Islands benches serve as an independent space, an island in the city landscape; and the Iconic mirrors are a play with surprise in the lead role. Even though these are all very different projects, one can see that there is only one hand and one language behind them, or, four hands and two languages.
