Founded by designers Jiří Přibyl and Martin Imrich, since 2000 the Koncern studio has focused on industrial design throughout its entire portfolio – furniture, beverage glasses, auto industry parts and glass applications for architecture. The designers even venture into projects close to conceptual design. However, their most respected products are their child car seats designed for Cybex, which have repeatedly won in international tests, resulting in seven Red Dot Design Awards. In collaboration with Cybex, over the past ten years the designers have not only kept their signature style, but have also sensitively responded to the latest trends while improving their artform. For these car seats, an aluminium model is first made – its elegant lines are created with almost as much care as those of a sculpture. The result is the epitome of progressive design featuring precise and elaborate details, and ensures that their Cybex child car seats stand out from the competition in a category that combines functionality and safety.
