The concept of Pragtique aims at opposing the bad taste of the "traditional" Prague souvenir shops densely lining the streets of the Czech capital. This respectable idea was born in the mind of Lenka Hluchá, who opened her store in late November 2015 in the Platýz passage near Národní Boulevard. It can, at the same time, be said that she had gambled on a creative certainty – having addressed leading Czech artists not only from the field of design but mainly illustration, graphic art and photography. The individual souvenirs thus, among other things, bear the original morphology of such artists as Mařenka Urbánková, Jaromír 99, Nikola Logosová, Johana Švejdíková, Daniela Olejníková, Tomski&Polanski, Antimultivitamin and FunkFu. This cooperation, developing under the Pragtique brand, results in an assortment of postcards, posters, bags, T-shirts and porcelain items with Prague motifs and symbols. And just as tasteful as the souvenirs and gifts is the presentation of the shop itself. The interior is based on cozy and hospitable simplicity, which helps make the assortment on offer stand out or, respectively, attract as much attention as possible. Moreover, the shopwindow installation, created by the designer Veronika Jiroušková, is never passed unnoticed by those who walk by.
