The very first product of the Tilak brand was sewn by Roman Kamler almost on his knee as early as in 1986. This was the beginning of his adventure which last year celebrated its third decade of existence. Ardor for high-quality products and the love of travel and Nature gave rise to an authentic brand which conquered the world of outdoor and mountaineering, and finally also design. The producer from the North-Moravian city of Šumperk specializes in manufacturing innovative outdoor clothing and accessories, which have found their way to the fans of sports and adventurous traveling almost all over the world. For several years, Tilak has been cooperating with the German fashion studio Acronym, which today creates the already classical lines of sports jackets of Goretex and the original material Ventile of densely woven cotton. The simple cuts and refined details became especially popular in the Japanese market, where mainly the followers of urban streetwear fashion took a fancy to them, and thus put the Šumperk brand into an utterly unexpected position. In response, the company's management focused on developing a new collection of clothes characteristic of a strictly stern urban look.

The outdoor look combined with a restrained color scale and high-quality materials far exceeds the ranks of standard sportswear. The next update of the Urban Traveller collection, and its introduction to the Czech market, was taken care of by the Czech studio BOA, with which Tilak presented its most recent collection at Designblok 2016.
