
























Tereza Rosalie Kladošová comes from Valašské Meziříčí, a city famed for its strong tradition of home textile production and textile art. For more than half a century, it is also home to one of the most respected tapestry manufactures in the Czech Republic, which realizes works by leading Czech artists in textile. Tereza's work connects both lines. Her author's textiles and garments fuse inspiration. by home making, kitsch and naivety on the one hand and, on the other hand, the sense of sophistication and the aesthetic value of art and all this goes hand in hand with Tereza's humor, irony and playful and free approach to colors and forms.
The collection, which made her the 2018 Fashion Designer nominee, follows from her experience with merino wool acquired at the International Woolmark Prize and its basis is upcycled industrial production leftovers. She composes varicolored pieces of merino into distinct graphic collages, fixed by injecting machine in a textile factory in the north-Bohemian city of Děčín. These author's textiles are the basic motif of inspiration and the material of her entire collection. They define the shapes of coats, jackets and skirts, while the prints on the tops, dresses and skirts further smoothly follow up with the graphic motifs from the upcycled merino.
Tereza graduated from bachelor's studies at the Zlín Tomas Bata University and defended her magister degree at the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague (2016), establishing her eponymous brand already during her studies. She gathered experience at scholarships with Anne Sofie Madsen in Copenhagen and at the Bezalel Academy of Art and Design in Jerusalem. Among other events, she presented herself at the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in Prague and Madrid. In 2018, she introduced her solo exhibition in the Moravian Gallery in Brno. ence at Her fashion design was part of the Czech group exhibition held in the framework of the International Fashion Showcase in London (2016, 2017). Last year, Tereza was nominated to the European International Woolmark Prize competition.
Kladošová has been a Czech Grand Design nominee several times. She was part of the selection for the Discovery of the Year 2014 as fashion designer and, in 2016 and 2017, CGD nominated her to the Fashion Designer of the Year. She is also successful in the field of product design, which she creates in a duo with Anna Štěpánková as the brand Štěpánková & Kladošová. This and last year, the two were among the nominees in the category Designer of the Year with their hand-tufted carpets and, this year, received the Elle Edida award in the category of floor surfaces.
