Radka Sirková and Anna Tušková, who work together as Chatty, have created their own version of a contemporary woman through their several recent collections - a woman who is unafraid of experimenting but at the same time does not want to feel inappropriate in her own milieu.
She wants to be perceived as courageous, but does not desire to be incomprehensible. Just like the Flying Cholitas, the unique movement of Bolivian wrestlers referred to in the first nominated collection, determined by dark colors, prolonged coats and narrow, feminine and more traditional silhouettes. Contrary to the second collection, Kids, which Chatty very successfully introduced at the Kiev fashion week to present a woman who is more joyful and more lighthearted and is in long-term contact with the topical trends and streetstyle fashion. Stripes, camouflage suits, denim, pajamas, much more relaxed and oversize silhouettes – that is the style of the woman wearing this collection. She wishes to remain childishly playful, but she is not childish at all. Last but not least, it is worth mentioning that the two collections were highly acknowledged by two different language editions of Vogue magazine.

"Looking at the colours, shapes and impressions left by these dusty old family photo albums we came across, we were drawn to the clothes our parents used to wear and to the fact that the modern, the new and the awkward fades over time." Anička Tušková, Radka Sirková
Established by Anna Tušková and Radka Sirková ten years ago, Chatty asked the audience at the Mercedes-Benz Prague Fashion Week last autumn to "collect [their] memories and experiences and hold them tight so that they don't fade". The two designers and their collection, which offers a tinge of 1970s retro, really stood out at the event. Their models invited spectators to examine old photos and think about the ways "the young turn into the old, modernity turns into dullness, black into grey and awkwardness into nostalgia". The self-confident seductive woman from the Dusty Pictures collection enters several night clubs wearing blood-red lipstick. Her shiny, blood-red, over- the-knee, heeled boots combined with a slit dress and oversized denim/court shoes combined with bell-bottoms created a really unsettling costume. Once again, Chatty here rely on classic denim clothing adjusted for a wide range of cuts and silhouettes. But the designers combine materials and styles in a very daring way: denim with shiny leather and satin, bright red with blue. In honouring the latest trends, they've succeeded in creating a euphoric combination of femininity, carelessness, hyperbole and classic clothes. The Dusty Pictures collection also won acclaim at Paris Fashion Week.
