Architect Stanislav Lachman, born on October 16, 1921 in Kladno, contributed to the quality design of Czechoslovak electrical appliances as the industrial designer of Kovotechna Praha and Elektro Praga Hlinsko from the first half of the 1950s until the 1960s. Later, as the chief designer of Pragounion, he influenced many industrial products in the field of processing of plastics thanks to his experience and designing skills.

"Stanislav Lachman is exceptional for his personal modesty and ability to link his artistic sensibility with the world of technology and production. He managed to communicate with design engineers and technologists in factories in a very persuasive way. His name is synonymous with quality design of electrical appliances in ETA Hlinsko - former Elektro-Praga n.p. I personally do appreciate his tour de force from the late 1960s when he responded to the assignment of creating a new shape for electric irons with his completely unusual designs of geometric shapes. He even succeeded in implementing one of them - the one with a rhomboid ironing surface - into production. This type was produced in the early 70s with two different handles marked ETA 211 and 212."
