Undoubtedly the most talented designer on the Czech fashion scene and of his generation, his achievements are beyond compare. He is able to envision, feel and create brilliant collections that overlap with other fields while still remaining true to his individual style. Even though his travels between Prague and Paris take up most of his time now, he still dedicates the rest to developing his talent. Layers, yarns and spectacular draperies – these might be hackneyed forms for many designers, yet Polanka always finds a way of transforming standard methods into the latest and newest expressions. In collaboration with the Prestige brand, each model has its own stylish shoes and many of them are of a truly world-class haute couture standard.
