Monika and Veronika's cooperation under the brand My dvě (The Two of Us) began approximately a year ago, when they began designing toys. Their objects, however, are not solely aimed at our little ones. "The sense of our work is to create objects that break the boundaries between childhood and maturity," explain the authors, whose creations address both children and adults. In the nominated project, the designers created their own world outside commonplace reality. A new landscape, where its individual features can be variously combined and assembled so that anyone who wants to can become a creator of his or her own original Alieneia. Towers, space rockets, modules and UFOs – all this can be incorporated into one's original world in an array of variants. Their number is unlimited and all parts fit in as a construction kit. The particular objects are the results of combining elementary shapes: cylinders, blocks and cubes. The oak wood, personally lathed by the designers, is finished with a transparent pastel coating in order to keep the wood structure visible. Apart from the wooden world, the creators also designed a sewn collection which will complement the constructions created in the Alieneia. They are cuddly toys, more haptic and aimed at younger children. They call them Alienspirits. "To us, children are a very pleasant target group, and there are still not enough nice things for them to play with. Our work is little bit like fulfilling our childhood dreams."
