BUDU is a unique brand. It is liked not only for its high-quality and well-crafted products and its recently achieved fame. It is unique because it was born from the desire of two people, life partners Anna and Adam Antoš, for beautiful and finely made things which had not been available on our market. But mostly because by making their vision a reality, the founders were able to fill a gap in the demand for local exquisite interior furniture and accessories – ones which are made in the country from Czech wood and are world-class in their design as well as their meticulous craftsmanship. Since 2011, the BUDU brand has been making items from the initial design stages until their final production, making furniture and accessories we want to make a HOME with. Simple, down-to-earth, but smart and with the flare of Scandinavian design.

The BUDU modular shelf system, which the brand presented at the last Designblok, certainly deserves attention. Everyone can assemble these simple but aesthetically balanced modular shelves. All the parts are universal, so putting together a shelf which would fit just perfectly where it’s supposed to does not have to be a riddle. The shelves’ layout is variable and based on the position of the slots hidden on the back of the metal stand. Just slide the metal components into the chosen position and fasten the shelves on with simple screws.
